Dorothy (Wright) Ashcraft, age 72 of Smithfield, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024. Daughter of the late John Thomas and Fannie (Wilhoite) Wright, she was a member of Sulphur Baptist Church. A former housekeeper at Days Inn, she cleaned house for several in the community. A lover of animals, she loved spending time with her puppies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; Tom, Pete and Leves Wright; and her sisters, Margaret Payton, Shirley Huff, and Ruby Crawford.

In accordance with her wishes, Dorothy was cremated and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
