June (McAlister) Kash, age 91 of Louisville, formerly of Port Royal, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Baptist Health Louisville. Daughter of the late Ferrell and Lucille (Kitson) McAlister, she retired from the US Attorney’s Office as a legal secretary and then worked for Furman-Nilsen Law Offices.  She was also employed by the Henry County Board of Education and served as a volunteer at Norton Suburban Hospital.  June worked alongside her husband, JB, as owner/operator of the Dairy Castle in New Castle.  She was a member of Middletown United Methodist Church and formerly attended Port Royal UMC.  June was preceded in death by her, husband John “JB” Kash; daughter, Lana Stone; her brother, Jerry David McAlister; sister, Pat Hawkins.

Step-Grandchildren:     Benjamin Arnold (Liz) of Hawaii

Funeral Service:  1 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Earl Wayne Perry.

Interment: Port Royal Cemetery

                           Mark Lyle, Roger Galloway and Dwight Raymer

Visitation:  10 AM until service time on Tuesday at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
