Brenda Jean (Logsdon) Matthews

Brenda Jean (Logsdon) Matthews, age 76 of Louisville passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026. She was a receptionist at Western High School in Louisville for several years. She enjoyed drinking her coffee and gardening. Brenda was a member of Shawnee Baptist Church in Louisville. She was the daughter of the late Clarence & Ruby (Layman) Logsdon and preceded in death by two sons, Tony & Timmy Matthews. Brenda will be cremated following service.

Daughter: Renee Matthews of Madison, Indiana

Son: David Matthews (Rebecca) of Charlestown, Indiana

Sister: Allie Faith Sadler of Jamestown

8 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren

Visitation from 1:00 to 4:00 pm Friday, April 10, 2026 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
