Chester A. Stivers, Jr.

Chester A. Stivers, Jr., age 82 of New Castle, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. Son of the late Leona Ruth (Hall) and Chester Arthur Stivers, Sr., he served his country in the National Guard and was a life-long farmer. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and driving his tractors. Chester was known for his wonderful, home-grown cantaloupes and being a talented woodworker. An entrepreneur, he started his own irrigation company and other trades that allowed him to use his talents to provide for his family. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Chester was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy & Michael Stivers, and a nephew, Jeff Stivers.

Funeral Service: 2 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by JT Stinson.

Burial: New Castle Cemetery

Pallbearers: Charlie Clark, Nick Stivers, Tre Stivers, Brandon Beckley, Bryer Beckley & Neil Hall Stivers, II

Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry/Trimble Animal Shelter.

Visitation: 11 AM until service time on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
