Deborah Ann Fraze, 59, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved.

Debbie was the devoted wife of Joseph Fraze, Sr., and together they shared 41 wonderful years of marriage. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to James K. Smith and Margaret Ann Mudd.

She graduated from East Hardin High School and spent many years in masonry. She was known as “The Brick Chick.”

More than anything, Debbie loved her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always put the people she loved first. She also had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, loving and caring for them as though they were her own. Debbie was known for her faith in Jesus Christ, which guided her through every season of life. She will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family, her generous heart, and the kindness she showed to everyone around her.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Joseph Fraze, Sr.; her son, Joseph Fraze, Jr. and his wife Brittani; her daughter, Brooke Rabourn and her husband Dustin; her cherished grandchildren Madisyn, Camden, Trey, Hudson, Carson, Holden, Baylor, Barrett, and Cohen; and her siblings Cherie Smith and Jamie Smith. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James K. Smith and Margaret Ann Mudd; her stepparents, Betty Smith and Thomas Mudd; her brother, Tim Smith; and her beloved niece, Daphne Mangrum.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Prewitt Funeral Home in New Castle, Kentucky. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at New Castle Cemetery.
