Desmond “Dez” Jerrell Mason, age 37 of Eminence passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026. He was known for his fun-loving spirit and his ability to bring joy wherever he went. His infectious smile, warm laughter, and generous heart had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Whether he was sharing a joke, lending a helping hand, or simply spending time with family and friends, he had a gift for making ordinary moments special.
As a father, he was a source of unconditional love, guidance, and encouragement. His children were the pride and joy of his life, and he cherished every opportunity to create memories with them. As a son, he honored his mom with devotion and gratitude. As a brother, he was a loyal sports companion, and they share great moments of laughter and fun memories. He also enjoyed music and loved the Celtics, Spurs & UofL Cardinals. He was a big Tom Brady fan and enjoyed watching him play.
Though his physical presence is gone, the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the lives he touched will continue to live on.
We find comfort in knowing that his legacy is written not only in the years he lived but in the countless hearts he touched along the way.
He is survived by his loving children, mom, brother, extended family, and countless friends who will treasure his memory forever. He was preceded in death by his father, Julius “Booty” Mason, Jr.
