Jane Miller (Thomas) Thurman, age 100 of New Castle passed away Friday, August 22, 2025. Jane was a member of the New Castle Christian. She had a Bachelors degree from Eastern University and taught at Henry County for 38 years. Jane enjoyed bird watching; going to the beach & watching sports. She especially loved spending time with family. Jane was the daughter of the late W.D. & Sallie (Davis) Thomas and was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Tom Thurman and a sister, Bettie Thomas.

Granddaughter: Janey Thompson of New Castle
Grandson: Finnegan Thompson of New Castle
Funeral Service: 11 AM Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Officiated by Dr. Corky Klingenfus and assisted by Pastor Mike Napier.
Burial: New Castle Cemetery
