Julius Mason, Sr., a beloved resident of Eminence, passed away at the age of 98 at the University of Louisville Shelbyville Hospital, on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Son of the late William Henry Mason, Sr. and Mamie (Coleman) Mason, Julius was a WWII Army Veteran. A lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Eminence, he was in the Church Choir & served on the Finance Committee. Julius retired from Fishers Packaging Company as a butcher after 32 years of hard work and served as Union Steward with the UFCW 227. Julius was a very talented artist, especially with oil portraits, in addition to his knack for repairing radio & televisions. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura (Wright) Mason; daughters, Laura Whitney, Valedia Roberts & Geraldine Carr; son, Julius Mason, Jr.; grandson, Lee Lamarr Winburn. The youngest of the Mason boys, he is also preceded by his brothers, William, James, Sr., Charles and Ralph Mason, and his sister, Ann Morehead.
The family wishes to acknowledge and give special thanks to Jerry, Chrissy & Dwayne Roberts for their loving care they showed to Julius.

Funeral Service: 1 PM Saturday, June 14, 2025, at First Baptist Church, Eminence with Reverend Charles Duncan Officiating and Rev. Robert Fields assisting
Burial: Eminence Cemetery
Pallbearers: Robert Marshall, Bradley Morehead, Glenn Simpson, Phillip Smith, Kim Goodloe & Glenn Busby
Memorial contributions: Merriweather King Street Foundation or First Baptist Church, Eminence.
Visitation: 10AM Saturday until service time at First Baptist Church, Eminence
