Kathleen Jean (Grossner) Lyons

Kathleen Jean (Grossner) Lyons, age 76 of New Castle passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. She was a Virden Community High School graduate of 1967 and received her BA degree at University of Louisville. Kathleen had a passion for helping others that led her to numerous volunteer opportunities such as grief share, prison ministry, Celebrate Recovery, 12-step programs, helped newly released inmates and volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem for Children in foster care. She was devoted to Christian service and a long-time member of Point Pleasant Christian Church. She worked as an accountant at Reliance Construction most recently and over the years at both private and non-profit organizations. She was the daughter of the late William E. & Dolores Eilene (Cox) Grossner and was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth L. Grossner; grandson, Bryce Allen Lyons; nephew, Michael Kolenich and sister-in-law: Janet Grossner. One of her greatest joys in life was being Mammaw or Jammaw to her 8 beautiful grandchildren

Kathleen will be cremated.

Celebration of Life: 3:00 to 6:00 PM on April 25, 2026 at Resolute Christian Church, 10499 Campbellsburg Road, Campbellsburg, KY 40011.
