Michael S. "Mike" Hawkins

Michael S. “Mike” Hawkins, age 76 of Port Royal, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Son of the late Henry B. and Pauline (Burns) Hawkins, Mike retired as a carpenter and superintendent for Parco Construction in Louisville. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved his cars & motorcycles, and enjoyed coin collecting. Mike was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy, Steven, Dale & Donald B. Hawkins, and a grandson, Jayden McWhorter.

Daughter: Jennifer McWhorter (David) of LaGrange

Son: Brian Hawkins of Louisville

2 Grand-daughters: Kaitlyn McWhorter & Kylee McWhorter

Funeral Service: 2 PM on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiating by Rev. Peter Phillips of Smithfield Baptist Church.

Burial: Port Royal Cemetery

Pallbearers will be Billy Hawkins, Jason Meadows, Dustin Hawkins, Duane Hawkins, Gary Gregory, Mike McGlothin and Kevin Henshaw.

Visitation: 12 Noon until 4 PM on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home and on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 12 Noon until the time of service.
