Paul Douglas McAlister, Sr.

Paul Douglas McAlister, Sr., age 69 of New Castle passed away Friday, August 1, 2025. Paul was a Catholic. He loved history, cooking, cleaning and spending time with his grandkids & dogs. He also did lots of charity work while in Las Vegas. You never had to think of what Paul was thinking because he’d tell you. Paul was the son of the late Cecil Coleman & Anna Frances (Jones) McAlister. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Charity Grace Arnold and two brothers, Timmy & Virgil McAlister. Paul will be cremated.

Daughter: Cassie Lister (Jessey) of New Castle

Son: PJ Arnold (Erin) of Lockport

Sisters: Anita Arnold (Darrell) of Lockport

Sandra McAlister of Lockport

Melinda Sharp of Lockport

Grandchildren: James, Cordelle, Timothy, Raymond, Temperance “Rosie” & Cecil

Several nieces, nephews and great nieces & great nephews.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

There will be no visitation at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
