Phillip Ellis Gunn

Phillip Ellis Gunn, age 78 of Elgin, SC passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. Phillip was formerly of Shelbyville, KY. He retired after 32 years of service as a Supervisor with KU/LG&E and was a very proud Navy Veteran. He loved hunting, fishing and UK Basketball. Phillip was the son of the late Joseph Ellis & Bertha (Cox) Gunn and was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Gunn and grandson, Baby Reece.

Son: Joseph Gunn (Amanda) of Lexington, SC
Brother: Micky Gunn (Jerrie) of Frankfort, KY
3 Grandchildren: Lila Migliore, Ellis Gunn & Stella Gunn

Funeral Service: 12 Noon on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
Interment: New Castle Cemetery
