William Michael “Mike” Huff, age 73 of Pleasureville, departed from this earthly world and received his new body on Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, with his loving and devoted wife by his side. Mona says, “It was a joy to witness the transformative power of God, transitioning his disease-ridden body into Heavenly realms!” Son of the late Marvin Claude & Doris Ann (Milburn) Huff, Mike was a 1971 graduate of Campbell County High School. He honorably served his country with the United States Navy, signing up again with National Guard Reserves for another twelve years. He then re-enlisted and retired from the United States Army in 1990. He was a bus driver for Henry County Schools for thirteen years. He attended Boyce Bible College and became a minister, serving Franklinton Baptist, Harvest Community, and Henry Christian Church. He was a highly involved board member with the Louisville Emmaus Walk Community. Mike was a board member & spiritual director of Residents Encountering Christ (REC) and volunteered for KY State Emergency Management. He was the Certified Fire Chaplain of Henry Co. (Pleasureville Fire & Rescue) and taught Suicide Prevention classes all over the Commonwealth. He was co-founder of the KY Chaplaincy Program and volunteered for KY Coalition for Health & Community (KCHC), Henry County Wellness Coalition & Henry County Communities in Action. He was an Honorable KY Colonel and a member of Southeast Christian Church, LaGrange campus. Mike was preceded in death by a sister, Audra Turner.

Mike leaves behind many to rejoice in his victory lap while grieving for their loss. This includes, but not limited to his:

Step-Son: Terry Nunley (Faith) of Shelbyville

Sister: Karen Daniels (Tom) of TN

Brother: Joe Huff of Washington

Jessica Hackett (Duwane) of Davison, MI

Mike was cremated according to his wishes.  The family will hold a Memorial Celebration at a later date.

There will be no visitation or services at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
