Wilma Joyce (Holmes) Young

Wilma Joyce (Holmes) Young, age 92 of Eminence passed away Friday, May 1, 2026. Wilma was a devoted member of Henry Christian Church, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving others with compassion and grace. Wilma dedicated much of her professional life to caring for others both as a dental assistant as well as a hostess at Cracker Barrel, where her friendly smile and genuine hospitality made everyone feel like family from the moment they walked through the door.

Above all else, her greatest love was her family. She treasured every gathering, every conversation, and every moment spent with those she held dear. Her life was a beautiful example of kindness, faithfulness, and unconditional love. She will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering faith, and the joy she brought into the lives of so many. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and compassion will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Wilma was the daughter of the late J. D. and Sylvia (Nelson) Holmes and was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Young and son, David L. Young.

5 Grandchildren: Amy Wobbe (Thomas), Cresta Young (Daniel Palmer), Chris Young (Jessica), Leslie Anne Bruther (Chris) and Matthew Metts (Ashley Morgan)

Funeral Service: 2 PM Friday, May 8, 2026 at Henry Christian Church (136 Castle Hwy, Eminence, KY). Officiated by Bro. Ed Berry.

Pallbearers: Bryan Young, Chris Young, Matthew Metts, Blake Payton, Daniel Palmer & Jackson Jamison

Interment: Franklinton Cemetery

Memorial Contributions: Henry Christian Church, 136 Castle Hwy, Eminence, KY 40019.

Visitation: 11 AM until service time on Friday at Henry Christian Church.
