She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille (Edrington) Carder Mitchell; father, Gilbert Carder and husband, Wm. Gayle Price.

Bertha was the daughter of the late Raymond & Katherine (Burch) Batts and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Calvin Chadwell and daughter, Linda Downey. Bertha loved to go fishing and camping.
